UPDATE OF NORTH DAKOTA DISCIPLINE
From: Brian Gale, DPM
11/13/00
I was just informed that the North Dakota Podiatry Board is meeting on
Wednesday night at 5:00 pm. That is in 2 days !! I was supposed to be
notified before this but according to Gary Thune, the Board's lawyer,
Aaron Olson didn't send my lawyer or I notification of the meeting. They
are going to be discussing the new complaints
that have come to the Board since they disciplined me in February.
I have received some of the reviews from DPM's I sent copies of the complaints
to.
I also need information on the statute of limitations. The Board's
attorney has told one of my attorneys that he couldn't find any
information on statute of limitations in regards to Board complaints in
North Dakota. Three of the new complaints are from patients I treated 6 to
8 years ago. If anyone can find any information on this topic even if it's
from another state I would be very thankful.
I have completed the CME's required to have the restrictions removed from
my license and I was told that I will be getting a letter from Gary Thune,
the Board's attorney today which is being sent to the hospitals in town. I
completed 166 CME's in the last five months.
So they remove the restrictions and then set up a meeting to discuss the
new complaints. We'll see what they have to say on Wednesday. Stay
tuned...
