Dear Governor Schafer,

My name is Dennis Mongeon. I was an educator in the Mandan Public School
system for 28 years and retired in 1991. I now work part time in the crop
insurance industry as an adjuster.

The reason for this letter is my concern with the disciplinary action taken
by the appointed Board of Podiatric Medicine regarding the practice of Dr.
Brian Gale.

The account o the investigation in the Bismarck Tribune which attracted my
attention and concern was the last two paragraphs regarding the conflict of
interest position taken by Dr. X based on the suing of each other when Dr.
Gale left Dr. X’s practice to open his own practice in 1993.

While not trying to minimize the importance of all the information in the
Bismarck Tribune regarding the investigation and subsequent actions taken by
the acting board, the presence of Dr. X on that board causes concern.

If there is an appeal or any other type of review of the board’s decision, I
would encourage everything possible would be investigated to ensure that no
personal vendetta was involved with the board’s decision.

Thank you for your consideration of this letter and enjoy your post governor
years. ND was fortunate to have such a fine governor.

Sincerely,

Dennis Mongeon
