Dr. Stone specializes in the diagnosis and treatment - both surgical and medical - of a wide range of foot and ankle disorders and abnormalities. Conditions often treated include bunions, hammer toes, foot and ankle
injuries/fractures and foot ulcers. Dr. Stone is co-director of the Chronic Wound Clinic as well as clinical assistant professor of surgery at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine. 

Medical education and training:

Dr. Stone received his medical degree from the Ohio College of
Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed residency in
podiatric medicine and surgery at the Windom Area Hospital in
Windom, Minn., and a fellowship in orthopaedic trauma at the A.O.
University Hospital in Geneva, Switzerland.

Dr. Stone is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery-Foot and Ankle Surgery and also by the American Academy of Wound Management. Dr. Stone joined MeritCare in 1988.
